For these images, I've used my photographs as basic palettes to create designs and patterns.  Some have a texture effect to them and look like fabric.  Some are pure design using colors and shapes.  Some have visible remnants of the original photograph (leaves, bark, petals) that add to the feel of the piece.

Click on 'purchase info' links for pricing information or to purchase any of these photographs as prints, notecards, or other photo products (notecards, mugs, magnets, mousepads, playing cards, puzzles, keepsake boxes, desk organizers).

Images are shown here in low web resolution; however,
all images are produced and sold in high quality print resolution.

Cathedral in the Sky was made using the color palette from a photograph I took of black shadowy pine trees silhouetted against the indigo blue early night sky of winter.

I created Watermelon Blanket from a shot of a red lily. Layering digital art effects created the canvas-like effect.

Flower Medallion is bordered in black; click on purchase to view!

The next pieces were created from a Siberian Iris photo. For Wooly Iris Blanket (below), I softened the fabric effect to give the image a slight blur, as one might see on fleece, and I bordered the finished product in black (click on purchase to view).

If you look closely at Iris Blanket (below), you can see the iris petals in the design.   I added layering techniques to give it the look of a thick quilt.
